Research

People. Place. Purpose. Earth. Design. We shape architecture, interiors, and planning rooted in context, culture, and the human experience.

Exploring ideas that shape better futures.

Research & Discovery

Research is not an isolated phase—it’s a continuous lens through which we design, plan, and adapt. From early ideation to post-occupancy, inquiry guides how we engage with context, culture, and systems. We study how people move, feel, and interact. We map thermal patterns, material behavior, and environmental cycles. We ask how architecture performs over time—ecologically, emotionally, and socially. Design is not assumed—it is explored. Each project becomes a site for learning, iteration, and impact, understanding gives our work purpose, precision, and resilience.

What We Investigate

Our research spans across disciplines and scales. Key areas of focus include:

Human experience & spatial behavior
We explore how architecture shapes—and is shaped by—human interaction. From sensory perception to movement and emotion, we study the subtle forces that define comfort, identity, and belonging within space.
Thermal comfort & bioclimatic strategies
Climate-responsive design is core to our philosophy. We investigate passive and bioclimatic systems that enhance indoor comfort, reduce energy loads, and align architecture with local environmental conditions.
Environmental performance & sustainability
Our work is driven by environmental metrics—from embodied carbon and circular materials to life-cycle energy use. We integrate sustainability as a system, not a feature.
Adaptive reuse & resilience
Reimagining existing structures is one of the most sustainable acts. We research how buildings can adapt over time—responding to shifting needs while preserving character and minimizing impact.
Urban systems & cultural patterns
We view cities as living systems. Our research analyzes how infrastructure, mobility, and social rituals shape urban form—and how design can foster inclusion, connectivity, and local identity.
AI-assisted and generative design methods
We integrate machine learning, generative algorithms, and computational logic into our design workflows. These tools expand creative potential, enable rapid iteration, and help us respond to complex constraints with clarity.
Post-occupancy feedback & data visualization
We design with people in mind—and follow through with the same commitment. Our post-occupancy research collects real user insights to measure spatial performance, behavioral patterns, comfort, and adaptability over time. This helps us design better futures, backed by lived experience.
Workforce Housing & Spatial Equity
Exploring inclusive housing models that respond to economic realities, climate demands, and social dignity—through design strategies that prioritize quality, adaptability, and access.
Parametric Systems & Design Logic
Investigating geometry as a language of performance—where algorithmic thinking allows us to integrate structure, daylight, ventilation, and experience into unified, dynamic forms.
Evolving Workflows & Collaborative Intelligence
Mapping the shift toward fluid, interconnected design processes—where cloud-based platforms, multi-stakeholder input, and immersive tools redefine how we work and co-create.
The Next BIM: Integrated Intelligence
Beyond modeling, we explore the future of BIM as a decision-making platform—connecting lifecycle data, generative algorithms, sustainability metrics, and AI to support regenerative design from concept to operation.
Climate Resilience & Regenerative Systems
We explore design strategies that not only withstand environmental shifts, but restore ecosystems and uplift communities. From passive systems to material flows, our research connects resilience with beauty, agency, and long-term stewardship.

“ Design without research is intuition without clarity. We ground our intuition in knowledge. ”

Exploring ideas that shape better futures.

Where research becomes design, and design becomes insight.

Tools, Methods & Making

We merge traditional inquiry with advanced digital intelligence—from urban mapping and interviews to parametric modeling and performance analysis. Our toolkit includes BIM, Grasshopper, Ladybug, and data dashboards that help us visualize complexity and uncover new spatial opportunities. Collaboration is integral. We work closely with universities, research labs, and expert partners to stay agile, informed, and continuously evolving.

“We study to design better. We measure to understand more. We design to ask again.”

Built projects as living laboratories.

Applied Research

Every project is an opportunity to test, refine, and expand knowledge. Our research doesn’t live in isolation—it’s embedded in real buildings, systems, and communities. We document findings, analyze feedback, and share knowledge to shape future work that is more thoughtful, responsive, and regenerative.

Crossing disciplines to explore what’s next.

Open Inquiry & Collaboration

We welcome research partnerships that challenge convention and generate collective insight. Whether through design competitions, academic exchange, or pilot studies, we remain open to co-creating with those who share a commitment to questioning, discovery, and positive impact.
