Description

Blurring the line between architecture and landscape, House of the Dunes is a civic center conceived as an extension of the desert itself — sculpted by wind, time, and tradition.

Set within the arid landscapes of Morocco, House of the Dunes reinterprets civic architecture as a living, breathing form shaped by its environment. The design draws from the flowing topography of sand dunes and the tactile, time-honored craft of brick construction. Walls rise and dip in fluid rhythms, creating shaded passages, arching entries, and cooling courtyards that respond passively to the harsh desert climate.

More than a center for governance and public gathering, the project becomes a cultural landmark — evoking traditional earthen architecture while embracing the expressive potential of modern form.

maiko Studio introduces “Lumière Gallery & Cultural Exchange,” a groundbreaking project in London that redefines the traditional art gallery.

This modern art gallery and cultural hub, situated on a 2-acre plot (87,120 sqft), aim to create an immersive experience by seamlessly blending contemporary architecture with curated art installations, fostering dynamic cultural interactions.
